Jessica Wilson is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. She loves being active and has been involved in athletics most of her life. She was involved in basketball and track in high school, and was a member of the Oregon State rowing team her freshman year of college. Jessica started her CrossFit journey in 2012, and has not looked back. CrossFit is a community that motivates you to become your best possible version inside and out. “Most often it is not the WOD that brings us to the gym, it’s the friendships and unspoken bonds of those counting on us to show up”. Jessica graduated from Oregon State University in 2006 with a Bachelors degree in Animal Science and a minor in Chemistry. After graduating from OSU, Jessica was accepted to LSU on a full assistantship where she completed a master’s degree in reproductive physiology in 2009 and a master’s in teaching in 2012. She is currently working as a high school Biology teacher. Jessica is married to Kiel Wilson, and has 2 daughters, Savannah Marie and Madelyn Bennett.
A message from Jessica:
CrossFit over the last four years has become more then just workout, it’s about the community and the friendships that I have gained. I love spending my afternoons and Saturday mornings at the box, coaching and WODing next to athletes that are pushing themselves for the next rep, for the next round. I have enormous amount of respect for every single person who has ever completed a WOD no matter his or her athletic ability because it takes a huge amount of mental strength to keep moving. The box is where we work not only on becoming strong physically but mentally as well. Crossit has taught me that failure is okay as long as you use it to motivate your success.
