BIO:

Chelsea found CrossFit Virtus in 2015 when her husband Timmy brought her to “Bring-a-Friend Thursday.” Being an athlete all her life, she immediately fell in love with the team aspect of the box. It allowed her to reignite the competitive spirit she thought she would have to give up after ending her collegiate soccer career.

I jumped around gyms in town and just couldn’t find what I was looking for. Nothing helped motivate me to want to be a better version of myself. Until I attended my first class at Virtus. I was hooked. I knew this is what I needed to be doing. It honestly put me in better physical shape than I ever was as a Division 1 collegiate player.

CrossFit also prepared me for something I never intended it to, childbirth. I worked out safely through the duration of both of my pregnancies.  Not only did it help prepare for a smooth delivery, but it made for a much easier and quicker recovery.

Having been raised in Ascension Parish, Chelsea graduated from Dutchtown High School and played soccer competitively her entire life. Chelsea competed as a Division 1 soccer player at The University of Southern Mississippi, where she received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is currently a high school teacher at her alma mater. Chelsea has an amazing husband, Timmy, and two children, Gray and Nix.

A message from Chelsea:

When you join CrossFit, you join a community. I’ve found friends that have turned into family. Some CrossFit friends have attended my wedding, one takes my family’s pictures, and the rest are there with a smile when I get to the gym, and sometimes it’s the push I need to get through the week. It’s more than a gym, it’s a lifestyle.
